But if you're trying to learn Illustrator... then all is forgiven. Vector is teh bomb!! If you have questions, I can probobly help. I've just started trying again over at http://mrandypuppy.spaces.live.com/blog/ but it really is hard to remember to do regularly and also to find things of interest to say.
