					<description>Soccer (or football as a lot of the world calls it) isn't a big thing here in the USA.

It is played here, but primarily by school girls.

They've tried to establish it (our city had a team for a short period), but it just doesn't catch on.

Australian rules Football, on the other hand.... now that's something from down under that I can watch!  As far as I can tell... "Australian Rules" translates roughly as "there's no damn rules, we just want to hurt people".  Every time I've seen it on TV, it's usually dominated by middle aged men who are tough as hell, running back and forth, planting cleats in the face of anyone unlucky enough to fall down, and then doing something with a ball in between bouts of ultra-violence.
