Carpentry demon, that’s me!
I think about how I am going to explain to my father that he need not bring his toolkit when he visits with mum on Mother’s Day, as I got help in working things out, from America, via my computer and the internet, and it makes me giggle inside.
I am speaking of course, of the remarkable transformation of this to this.
Once I got help on working out what cam studs and cam locks were, (hugs to Tone (Bio) and Zipper) and armed with my squeeze bottle of PVA glue and ten THOUSAND other screws, bolts and assorted other thingies, I set about the job of putting it together. Was kind of like a mega jigsaw puzzle really.
I figured that if I could install various bits and pieces inside my computer and can change a tap washer, I could do this and I was right. The hardest bit of all was hanging the damn door can you believe it?
Anyhow, once again I am compelled to say… God bless the Internet and those that dwell in it!

Speaking of internet denizens - just wanted to check in. How’s your study of php and css going?
I spoke online with a Kiwi last night, and to be cute, I typed in “avagoodarbo.” Is my ocker-speak really out of date, or are New Zealanders less connected than I had thought? He didn’t know what I was saying.

Hey altjira! My study of CSS is going well, and as for PHP, well let’s just say a vacant stare most correctly describes my expression when pondering PHP. I’m working on it though!
Now one thing you need to know about Aussies and Kiwis is that we’re not that much alike (although our countries are close together). You might want to try avagoodarVo next time, but you’ll much likely get more success with an aussie rather than a kiwi. You’ll probably provoke more of a reaction by aluding to the fact that kiwis own velcro gloves to assist them with their pursuit of sheep-shagging. Well, at least it works for me!
Thanks for stopping by!
Zipper: Absolutely, but I am NOT wearing a plaid shirt!

Hi, another Kiwi here, and just to clear things up - speaking ‘ocker-talk’ to a kiwi is like speaking Gaelic to an Englishman. Two entirely different countries and thus two entirely different ways of speaking.

Colm, I notice you are a woodworking God. Next time I try to assemble furniture, expect an email (or 10)
