Kancho (where Boong-Ga! Boong-Ga! came from, I suspect…)
I had a comment on the Boong-Ga! Boong-Ga! thread from Jessica in Japan today:
Hi,
Just found your site today. Enjoy what you have to say.
Am currently working in Japan and I have to say that I haven’t seen this game before, BUT i do believe that it would be here. My students actually give each other “kancho” which involves them clasping their two hands together and ramming them up an unsuspecting classmates buttocks. It’s all fun and games…but i’ll beat the crap outta any kid who tries it on me!
Thanks for that Jessica. I was actually saving the Kancho topic for when I got over the trauma of finding out about it!
I have recently been hanging out in IRC with some people who are Anime freaks (oh gosh, now that’s a whole other category of people!) who were well aware of the Kancho phenomenum and directed me (thanks, I think Tsu..) to the webpage of Azrael over at Outpost Nine.
Azrael is an Afro-American teaching in Japan who really tells it like it is. I was amazed (and downright shocked) by the behaviour of the kids in Japanese schools. No, seriously, some of them are sick little bastards! I can TOTALLY understand why some older Japanese men are as perverted as they are if what Azrael writes is correct (and appears to be backed up by Jessica) and it starts from when they’re in primary school!
Basically, Azrael spends most of his time (when not actually teaching in the classroom) avoiding having his anus violated by young boys, or warding-off their attempts to touch his penis! Seriously.

As you know I have been attending a Japanese high school and I can tell you with complete certainty azrael is in a very rare situation. None of the kids in any of the schools around my area act like his kids do (really I find it so amazing what he says that I almost think he has made it up)

Hey Jieshi, thanks for stopping by!
My understanding is that this behaviour happens mostly in primary (or elementary) school. One would hope that by high school they would have gotten over it!
